 the last hoora
I fished out past the zoo near wenona. never marked a fish till after dark. then I had fish on the flasher steady, but all I kept getting were short strikes. then when most everyone went in I started getting some better hits. ended up going home with three. got stuck near shore in a snow drift. all my fish were caught on the moonshine shiver minnow again. talked to a guy at the party store that fell in 6 fow he was soaked to his neck with a bruise on his chin from hitting the ice. he got out ok. he also stated that he saw 2 machines go in .

 Re: the last hoora
Nice fish Ray, The ice is fucked up around the park, Sunday night I had 2 buddies go through in 2-3fow. It looks like my season may end on a sour note. I left a hot spot off Linwood for the promise of a great bite off the park well................ 6 of us caught 1 fn walleye and all I caught were 3 big perch. My buddy and I fished til almost 9:00. I through my chain on the way in....again and then for the icing on the cake we broke through the ice in the cattails off State Park and we all know what A MESS THAT IS. With 21 trips to the Bay, Sunday night was my 1st skunk of the season which really sucks. My machine needs some repairs and I don't see it happening soon. This ice season is in the books for me. See ya on the open water side. Joe..

 Re: the last hoora
Yup, shore ice is toast. Buddy put his in today in about 2.5' of water. Got him out. I broke through at the end of Boutel in about 10" of water. Ice out deeper is still good, but its honey combed in the top 1/3. A couple more days and she's a gonner. 11 flags, 4 eyes, 4 smallies, missed two jigging and two quads pulled out. That's a limit of fun in my book!!! Might eek in one more trip tomorrow, then im done.

 Re: the last hoora
Iam thinking there will be safe ice its just a question on how the shore ice will be. They were still driving vehicles out last weekend. You will most likely be walking out. Might need the knee hi rubber boots to get from shore to the ice. That was my first time on the south end also. Got all them little buggers during daylight hours also. Still contemplating on wether or not to give it a go one more time. It was non stop action. There was times I wished they would leave so I could sit back and enjoy a smoke. 31 foot of water and the flasher was lit up from the top of the water colum to the bottom. Could of sight fished em if I wanted to but my body said "fuck that youll have one hell of a sore neck when your done". Got any more questions give Soup a call and get my # and give me a shout . Don

 Re: the last hoora
Got out one last time this season. Trailer Park...4.5fow. Wow did the water get really cloudy since sunday good thing I brought the vex! Ended with 3 keepers, one shorty, and my first kitty through the ice. Forgot how good it doesnt feel to catch them fuckin catfish That bastard somehow managed to tangle both lines all to hell and wrap around my vex cable.
