Hell no I didn't. Marked alot of fish AGAIN. Must have changed lures 20 times...and nothin! Ara, Pescatore and I all got the skunk. Adam probably got his limit..he was getting close. As of probably 2 only Adam's dad AJ1 had caught a fish. I've relaxed a bit so here goes:

Thanks to Icenut..he made us all hand crafted scoops..very cool, built in measurer for 15 inches. Very cool for him to do that.

We had some incredible food out there...Lots of walleye and fries, and Jighead had venison jerlky and someone brought some awesome sausage. Adam and his dad did the cooking and WOW..closest Ive come to a walleye this year and it was fried!!! It was very cool having about 15 guys out there eating a fish fry though. They had 2 fryers going

The airboat wouldnt run so Jighead had to tow it.

Ole Porkrind dumped his quad in the crack..she was floating with just the back tires showing..they got it out though.

Then he got towed out and when we made a move adam's dad was pulling his shanty and they had to cross another crack and his fish trap flipped and bent up his poles and tore his canvas. His vex went flying across the ice and the fin broke off his fish camera too.

Had a great time despite the fact that my quad had a catastrophic failure. Thanks to everyone who helped me get out of that dilemma. Met some good folks and ate some good vittles. Fishing was slow at best for me. Adam wore those magnetic boots again. Anyway, I'm home and I wrestled my quad out of the truck and into the garage. It's up on jack stands. Tomorrow I'll tear into it and tally up the damage. Timing is never good for your shit to break, but tonight there was no shortage of help. Could of been worse. Thanks again to everyone. Oh, by the way, Icenut makes some awesome ice scoops. *cheers*

Edit: Redwings having a bad day too. Down 6 - nothing.

First I want to thank the Marchbanks family for making this outing a great time, All your hard work and effort are greatly appreciated, And the fish was awsome. The travel conditions out there were extremely tough and hazardous by my standards. I felt alot more at ease out there having you guys there. Again a sincere Thank You. I ended up putting the smack down on them in the evening, 8 nice keepers and 1 shorty, the biggest 7lb 2oz. I had a riot with a double header. It was great to finally meet everyone. All but one of my fish came on a green fireball, with live minnow or powerbait 3" minnow. Got 1 fish on a 1/8oz lightning spoon redglow with minnow head.

It was a great day out there. Too tired to post many details. Thanks to all that helped and all that contributed to the outing. I ended up bringing 10 keepers through the hole and a couple of shorties. My buddy that was with me ended up icing 13 keepers. I hope everyone enjoyed their time on the bay. Turned out to be a nice day. Started out a little windy, but it died right down in the evening.

Joe

Wow, what a fun day. I would like to thank trapping fanatic for giving me a ride out, and Adams buddy Gary for the ride back in (What an eventful ride that was). I ended up catching 2 around 20 and 26 inchers and had a few others on. Dave gave me enough to finish up my limit. Thanks again to Adam and his dad for cooking up what was the best fish I have ever had. Icenut, thanks for the scoop, it worked great. Had a great time.

Well we all survied another great day on the bay. It was very nice to meet all the guys. I'm truley sorry about the Aqua View Porkrind. Get er fixed and send me the bill. And a big thanks to Rick for the super scoopers, hope I don't have to use the 15 inch mark. Last night was a ride to remember, guess you had to be there, Joe and Adam got the job done with precision, the rest of us helped the best we could. Thanks to all for bringing the cookers snacks and cold BEER. Ray needs a hand for his time and effort. Sorry if I missed anyone, and I did see Geoff with a :gator:

I have to say that I had a GREAT time yesterday, even if Geoff got his skunk on me. It was great to meet all of you. I would really like to thank Adam, his uncle, AJ1, Trappingfanatic, Pescatore, Young1Gun, Jighead and anyone that I am forgetting for helping move us to the producing fishing grounds in the afternoon. Also thank you to everyone for bringing something to contribute to lunch, I owe AJ1 a few beers.
You are all a great group of guys that I am happy to have on the site.
I think something everyone learned that didn't know it already, Saginaw Bay is a bitch and will eat you up in a heart beat if given the chance. I for one was glad to make it back to shore in one piece. Pork Rind I hope the quad is no worse for wear after she drys out.
